Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible—the 66 books of the Old and New Testament—to be the inspired, the only infallible authoritative
Word of God, without error in their autograph versions. We believe that the Bible is the complete revelation of God’s
will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged.
The Bible is therefore the final authority for matters of faith and practice in the Church.

One True God

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of
three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Nature of Man

We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. As all human beings
are descendants of Adam, all are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through
God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled, and renewed.

Jesus’ Identity

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, in His virgin birth, and in His sinless life. We
believe that in His incarnate form He was fully God and fully man—the God/Man. We believe that Jesus Christ, as our
representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, necessary, and sufficient sacrifice for our sins,
that He bodily rose from the dead to conquer death, and that He ascended to heaven. His atoning death and resurrection
constitute the only hope of salvation.

Jesus’ Return

We believe in the personal, bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ at a time known only to God. We believe in the final
judgment of all people: those who do not know Christ will be condemned to eternal separation from God, and those
who do know Christ will enjoy the glory of God with Christ in His kingdom forever.

The Need for Salvation

We believe that God desires all men and women to be saved from sin, and that the free gift of salvation is offered to anyone
who will accept it by faith. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely
essential. In order for regeneration to occur, there must be a deliberate personal decision to accept Christ as Savior
and Lord on the part of the individual.

Traditional Marriage

We believe that a wedding is a Christian service of worship to celebrate the union in marriage of one man and one woman before God and
witnesses. We believe that both the man and woman must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ in order to enter into a biblical marriage.

We have signed and endorse the Nashville Statement.

Legacy Bible Church Charter Statement

Legacy Bible Church was founded on the basis of the Great Commission given by Jesus to His followers in Matthew 28 following His resurrection. Specifically,
that commission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ, teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded. We believe the two essential elements for  making disciples
are in-depth preaching of the Bible and mature worship of the one true God as revealed in Holy Scripture. Recognizing the importance and necessity of maintaining a
collection of congregational songs that are inherited from previous generations and passed on to future generations, this church is chartered and established to primarily
use historic Christian hymns and Gospel songs in congregational singing, while also being open to new congregational songs that we believe are textually and musically
strong enough to endure for many years and are worthy of being passed on to the next generation of worshipers.
